Scottish EDGE Awards
The team at Todd Fish Tech were delighted to be the first company to win the top award of £100,000 at the Scottish EDGE Awards, Round 5 in December 2014 for our unique Lobster Pod shellfish storage system. Our Scottish EDGE funding supported the creation of 2 jobs, further research and development of our product, setting up our base in Dalgety Bay, Fife and our official launch at the Skipper Expo in Aberdeen by Fisheries Minister Richard Lochhead. The support from Scottish EDGE continues to be a great encouragement as we aim for a Shellfish Revolution!
Fishing News Awards
We are especially proud of our Technical Innovation Award from Fishing News as this was voted for by the readers of the trade newspaper, the fishermen of the UK. We are very grateful to be nominated and recognised for all our hard work in Research and Development. Our innovative Lobster Pod shellfish storage system received lots of enquiries and new orders after winning this award.
British Chamber Awards
Todd Fish Tech were the Scottish regional winner of Best Small Business at the British Chamber Awards, 2015 for our new Lobster Pod shellfish vivier system. Not bad for an SME from Fife.
VIBES Awards
The team at Todd Fish Tech won Best Micro Business VIBES award in November 2015. VIBES (Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland) is run by the Scottish Government, SEPA, Energy Saving Trust and others and the award was sponsored by the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC). This award shows recognition of our commitment to sustainability and the environment.

Todd Fish Tech (formerly Lobster Pod Ltd) was a finalist in the Hydro Nation VIBES award in November 2015. VIBES (Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland) is run by the Scottish Government, SEPA, Energy Saving Trust and others. The Hydro Nation Award is judged on the water saving ability of the product. The Lobster Pod uses 1/10th of the water of traditional vivier systems and the reduced weight saves fuel and carbon emissions. Our good friends at Bridge Biotechnology, based in Dunfermline, Fife, won the award.

Todd Fish Tech (formerly Lobster Pod) was a finalist in the Best Environmental Product in the VIBES award in November 2015. VIBES (Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland) is run by the Scottish Government, SEPA, Energy Saving Trust and others and the award was sponsored by Scottish Power. This award shows recognition of our commitment to sustainability and the environment. Lobster Pod has a proven 99% survival rate of live shellfish during transportation saving an average of £12,000 per trip.
Business Women Scotland & Women’s Enterprise Scotland Awards
Our founder and Sea-E-O Errin Todd won Innovator Of The Year at this event celebrating female entrepreneurship and business success. Errin completed the Leadership Workshops run by Women’s Enterprise Scotland and funded through Fife Economy Partnership which were a huge help as we grow our business.

Our founder and Sea-E-O Errin Todd won a Silver Award in the manufacturing category of the 2015 Great British Entrepreneur Awards. We are committed to local sourcing and all of our products are made in the UK. Second best manufacturers in the UK in our launch year. We’ll take that!

Errin Todd, our Founder and Sea-E-O, was a finalist in the Food and Drink category at the 2015 Great British Entrepreneur Awards. We’re happy to be amongst such a high calibre of finalists including BBC Apprentice stars and BBC Dragons Den entrepreneurs. The Lobster Pod shellfish system does not fit in a pigeon hole. Fife Business Awards
Lobster Pod were awarded the Most Enterprising Start-Up Company in the Fife Chamber Business Awards 2015. They represented Fife in the Scottish regional awards and are delighted to have won. Thanks to Fife Chamber, Scottish Enterprise, Fife Economy Partnership and Business Gateway Fife. We’re proud to bring the national award back to Fife.
