We are proud winners of the Technical innovation Award which was voted for by Fishing News readers and the industry.
We know Lobster Pod is innovative and unique but having the vote and confidence of the shellfish fishing industry is awesome. We were joint winners with Square Beam Trawl in the Technical Innovation category. The Awards were held in the Aberdeen Treetops Hilton on May 26th. Simon Rimmer, TV chef and presenter of Sunday Brunch and restaurateur, hosted the awards. Errin, Keith and Laura were there to represent our team. We had fantastic company at our table including Alex Fisher, Editor of Coast magazine and Jo from Visit Scotland. We also got to finally meet Magnus from Fishbox in person, a fellow Scottish EDGE alumni.

It was a fantastic night and we were delighted to join the other winners and finalists to celebrate. A special mention goes to our friend and fellow Fifer, Billy Hughes and huge congratulations on receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award which was well deserved. It was a very positive evening and the start of a very exciting week for our team as the Skipper Expo started the next day in Aberdeen. Well done to all of the organisers especially Dave Linkie and Rachel Graham and the Award sponsors Peterhead Port Authority, Gael Force, Seafish, Coast magazine, Box Pool Solutions, Sunderland Marine and Fishing News.
So, another piece of glassware to add to our trophy cabinet. We’re so chuffed and hope we can do the industry proud by continuing to listen to them and innovate to improve the quality and sustainability of our world class seafood and help our clients to be efficient and profitable.
